The marked hiking trail, approximately 5 km long, begins at the parking lot by the church in Seedorf and leads past the magnificent church and small castle up to the Werder. If you follow the path to the right at the edge of the forest through the natural mixed deciduous forest with a high proportion of deadwood, you can see far across to the opposite shore. A short climb is rewarded with a beautiful view over Lake Schaalsee directly on the steep bank. Here you can rest on a forest sofa and also get more information about the region. The forest path continues past mighty Douglas fir giants to KĂĽchensee lake. After 3 km, you have the choice of turning left and walking back along the shore to Seedorf, turning right and making a detour to Dargow, or walking around Pfuhlsee lake and Schaalseecamp.
If you choose the detour towards Dargow, an alder forest with its variety of plants offers a colorful refreshment on the small bridge between Pfuhlsee and Schaalsee. When you emerge from the forest, you can either take a trip to the village to the observation tower at Schaalseehof or turn left to Pipersee and then return to Seeedorf.
