Pick your own berries
When temperatures rise, it begins again... the delicious berry season in the Duchy of Lauenburg. Strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries ripen on the bushes and shrubs like tempting delicacies, enticing you with their beautiful colours and sweet scent.
The best place to experience this fragrance and colourful splendour is on the farms and fields of our berry growers in the Duchy of Lauenburg. Only here can you examine and select each fruit yourself. Surrounded by beautiful nature, you will discover a special kind of rural experience on family-run farms. The berries are grown with a love of nature and care in handling the fruit. And it's not just the appearance that impresses, but also the taste. Picking your own fruit on site is not only sustainable, but also keeps transport distances short. And sometimes the transport distances are shorter than you might think – as some fruits find their way straight into your mouth.
Children have plenty of space here to let off steam and discover the delicious and healthy aspects of berries in a playful way by picking them themselves. Once the berries have been easily picked by children and placed in baskets, picking becomes a real experience for the whole family. How wonderful it is to then enjoy a piece of fresh fruit cake, delicious waffles or a coffee in the café as a reward. Those who wish can take a little piece of country bliss home with them from one of the farm shops, whether it be jam, juice or fruit secco.
We would like to take you with us and show you where you can find this special kind of country experience, what you can conjure up from the delicious fruits and when which fruits are ripe.
Come with us – to the most beautiful unpackaged shops in the Duchy of Lauenburg.
