The kingfisher trail leads through the Billetal valley, a relic of the Ice Age. Discover rare animals such as kingfishers on shady paths in the idyllic beech forest.
The Kingfisher Trail takes you from Aumühle railroad station to the Billetal nature reserve, a meltwater channel that is a relic of the last ice age. This cold-water stream is home to numerous rare animal and bird species such as the kingfisher and grey wagtail. If you follow the path to the left behind the Aumühler Mühlenteich pond, you will first pass the spring that was discovered and named by Prince Bismarck himself.

The trail continues on narrow paths along the Bille slope to the Doktorbrücke bridge and finally through the beautiful mixed beech forest back to Aumühle.
