Your 29-kilometre round trip to the monuments of the municipality of Büchen begins in Büchen Dorf. The Priesterkate cultural centre is also located here. The building is the oldest listed agricultural building in the Duchy of Lauenburg. You continue your walk in a northerly direction to Siebeneichen. The only ferry on the Elbe-Lübeck Canal will take you to the other side of the water.
In Roseburg you will encounter an old water mill. The town of Büchen has made railway history as an important junction: the former railway settlement "Quellental" has been protected as a monument area since the end of the 1990s. Before you reach your starting point again, the Dückerschleuse in Witzeeze, built in 1789, awaits your visit. The restored sluice gate is the oldest technical monument of early Stecknitz navigation.
