Hiking trail along the high banks of the Elbe

The rugged, wooded slopes alternating with deep, carved valleys offer unique nature experiences on the hike through the beautiful “Hohes Elbufer” nature reserve between Geesthacht-Tesperhude and Lauenburg. The natural path takes you over a few climbs, but also offers repeated views of the Elbe's glacial valley. Rest benches with views, open sand pits, and cultural monuments along the way invite you to pause and reflect. The trail can be experienced in both directions or started in individual sections from central parking lots.
