FARO Whisky Distillery

Whisky is not only a Scottish national drink but also at home in the Duchy of Lauenburg. Founded in 2019, we distil whisky in our old idyllic farm buildings in Schretstaken near Talkau situated between Mölln and Schwarzenbek. And we do so from start to finish, because regionality and transparency are important to us: we malt our barley in our own malting plant, mash and distil it in a specially built distillery and store a large part of our whisky in barrels made from regional oak. 
Here in Schleswig-Holstein's largest whisky distillery, visitors can learn about and experience all the steps in the production of whisky: from malting, fermentation and distillation to barrel storage.
We offer distillery tours, tastings and workshops. And of course, at our FARO Distillery, you can also purchase first bottles of our whisky.
