Mölln - Steinfeld, Forst Drüsen - Lütauer Sees, Drüsensees -Schmalsees -Mölln (19 km)

The hiking tour starts in Mölln, goes via Steinfeld and Forst Drüsen, and leads along Lake Lütauer, Lake Drüsensee, and Lake Schmalsee back to Mölln.

Mölln – Steinfeld – Forst Drüsen – Lake Lütauer – Lake Schmalsee – Mölln

From the train station, cross at the traffic lights and walk about 100 m along the main road to the left. Then turn right onto a narrow path until you reach Herrenschlag street.

At the end of the street, you will come to the new town hall. Walk past the town hall on the left, then take the next path on the right to the municipal library.

Cross Gudower Weg and walk along Hindenburgstrasse past the cemetery. The path leads past the former Bundeswehr administration school (now Robert Koch Park) and then turns left onto the hiking trail. After about 100 m, turn right onto the path to the long moor, where you will pass the “Trees” and “Moor” adventure stations. Follow the path until you come to a bridge. Do not cross this bridge, but continue straight ahead. After approx. 200 m, you will see Lütauer See lake and the small bridge over the Heiliger Bach stream on your left. Now walk 100 m to the crossroads and follow the path uphill to the road.

Cross the road and turn left onto the forest path until you reach the old railway embankment, where you will see the forest kindergarten (construction trailer). The path passes to the left of the kindergarten.

Now walk along the railway embankment until you reach the next crossroads, then turn right and continue to the parking lot. Here, turn left onto a forest path and continue for about 1 km, then turn left onto a narrow path and follow it to Drüsensee, keeping to the right along the lake. At the next signpost, turn right and walk uphill. At the crossroads, turn left and follow the path to the next path that turns left. Turn left here and walk to the weather shelter, then continue straight ahead over the bridge across the Hellbach stream.

Turn left at the “Lübcke-Stein” and follow the path to Drüsensee lake. You will now walk through a wetland area at the southern tip of Drüsensee lake, then turn left onto the next hiking trail and stay on it until you reach a parking lot.

Cross the parking lot and you will come to the “Alter Frachtweg” (old freight route). Turn left here. After about 1 km, cross the Mölln-Gudow road and walk behind a parking lot along the dirt road to the left at the edge of the field until you reach the forest. Follow the path until you reach the next path to the left leading to the campground.

At the beginning of the campsite, turn right and follow the path downhill to Lake Lütau. Walk along the shore path. Follow this path until you see a bridge, then cross the bridge at the end of the path. Continue to the right and you will reach the “Boden” adventure station. Follow this straight ahead, past the “Specht” adventure station, and you will see a large villa on your left. Now cross the parking lot and follow the forest path to the road.

Here, cross the road into the wildlife park. (For dog owners: follow the road until you return to the start of the route). In the wildlife park, follow the path straight ahead until you go through a gate, then turn left and follow Birkenweg. At the next intersection, turn right onto Lindenweg, then left onto Kaiser-Friedrich-Straße. In front of a white villa, turn right immediately onto a narrow path and follow it to the spa gardens. Follow the path to the exit. At the spa parking lot, continue straight ahead on Bergstraße. At the pharmacy, turn left to the start of the hiking trail to the destination.
