The observation tower in Dargow is located not far from the Schaalseehof. It offers a view over the deepest lake in northern Germany. Almost 72 meters deep, it was once dug into the earth by falling meltwater. Its actual size can only be guessed at from the observation tower. The lake with its islands and peninsulas, the so-called "Werdern", lies at the viewer's feet, winding and enchanted. If you're lucky, you might spot a white-tailed eagle on the prowl.
