In 1971, the municipality of Bäk was able to establish a bathing area on a plot leased from the district at the outflow of the “Bäk” into Lake Domsee, featuring a sunbathing lawn and a changing hut with restrooms.

Today, the site features a small beach, a designated non-swimmer area, and a swimming island. The sunbathing lawn is equipped with benches and a large sandbox.

For many years, surfboards have been available for free rental. The offering has been expanded to include 2 stand-up paddleboards for children and teenagers (Du-darfst certificate required).

The bathing area is supervised on a voluntary basis—continuously during the summer holidays and on weekends outside of the holidays.
