Buchbar: Geführte Fahrradtour durch den Naturpark Lauenburgische Seen und das Biosphärenreservat Schaalsee

The cycle tour for groups leads through the hilly landscape of the Lauenburg Lakes Nature Park, which was formed during the Ice Age and is characterized by forestry, animal husbandry and agriculture, where flora and fauna were able to develop almost undisturbed in the shadow of the inner-German border. Depending on the time of day, kingfishers, white-tailed eagles, cormorants, great crested grebes and other diverse species can be spotted.

The route leads seamlessly through an otter area into the biotope- and species-rich landscape of the Schaalsee biosphere reserve, where the alternation of lakes, wetlands, deciduous forests and moors makes the area so unique. Protection in the biosphere reserve is intended to preserve and develop this liveable region with its intact nature for future generations. In many places, you will find unique natural vistas and surprising encounters with nature, including free-roaming nandus, which have now rapidly multiplied without predators after escaping from a breeding farm.

We will be happy to discuss the detailed route with you in advance so that we can target your priorities and wishes. Depending on your wishes, approx. 35 to 62 km, can be reduced by 14 km with the passenger ship.
