Under the title "Resonances", an ongoing exhibition will be held throughout 2026 in which artists will explore various themes of our time. Crises and changes create uncertainty and fear. But can't uncertainty also be understood as something productive that gives rise to new positive narratives for the future? And to what extent can artistic works contribute to this?
As a flowing process that aims to provide food for thought for action, the works on display will constantly change, enter into a dialog with each other and thus provide new impetus. Visitors are invited to constantly rediscover the Stadtgalerie. Monthly accompanying events invite visitors to reflect on the themes together.
Under the motto "Flowing encounters and acoustic interstices", sound works that connect with the space and the outside world will initially be shown. The exhibition was curated by Marita Landgraf and former Künstler:innenhaus scholarship holder Heiko Wommelsdorf. His focus is on spatial sound installations.
The light works by artist Via Lewandowsky in the POSITION #03 series are also integrated into the concept. They not only illuminate the Stadtgalerie every day from 12:00 to 22:00, but also light up the old town and arouse curiosity about what is developing in the building.
